The moment I’ve been anticipating for the past nine months has finally arrived. No, it’s not a baby ;)

I started work on Monday! It’s been a very long road to get to this place…between deportation scares, sleepless nights, visa hiccups, finding a job that could hire me with the specific requirements for my situation, and then a race to get all of the forms/paperwork/appointments sorted out in time… I (we) are pretty tired!

I’m back in the corporate world with a company I love in an office that completely excites me – it’s a dream come true after the nightmare that has hung over my shoulders like a black cloud for just about a year now. It taught me a thing or two about patience (ha!) and persistence…but in the end, it did work out as it was supposed to…

Please excuse my erratic posts for a bit as I settle in and adjust to life as a workin’ girl.

On a completely unrelated note – doesn’t this steak pan seared in butter look delicious??
